Here's the new Mortice Sashlock from Trade Security Supplies.
This is a new lock maker trialing their sash & dead locks on the British market. The lock comes in sturdy packages & conforms with BS3621-2007 for wooden perimeter doors.
The lock body has a hardened steel plate over the main working internals of the lock on both sides, to prevent drilling & toughened lock case.
The bolt throws to 21mm which is adequate. Hardened steel pins embedded in the bolt, preventing sawing attacks.
The internal parts seem well made. The sash lock has a robust sprung loaded spindle follower, to change the handing on the latch you simply insert a flat head screwdriver into the slot at the back of the lock case. Thus negating the need to open the whole lock case.
Each of the five brass levers has false gating at both top & bottom to hinder picking the lock conventionally.
Altogether a neat little package.
